How can I place an order?
We take orders through the Shopping Cart (Add to Cart button on each product page), by email or by phone. Please do not order by mail as we cannot guarantee a pattern will still be available when mail orders are received.

What does "On Hold" mean?
"On Hold" means an item has been ordered by a customer and we are awaiting payment.

How long do you hold items?
We hold ordered items for 14 calendar days pending receipt of payment. We need to be advised of receipt of invoice and form of payment within 3 days of purchase to keep items "On Hold".

What does "Sold" mean?
Items are marked "Sold" after payment for the purchase is received.

Can I order an item that is marked "Sold" or "On Hold"?
If an item is marked "Sold" or "On Hold" it is not available to order. The Shopping Cart button is removed from the product page once an item is ordered.

Do you have other sizes of the patterns offered on the site?
Our patterns are listed individually, and the size is noted in each description.

Do you have multiple copies of the patterns on the website?
If we have more than one copy of a pattern it will appear on the site as a separate listing.

Are your patterns in used condition?
All of our sewing patterns are uncut and in the factory folds. Booklets and magazines have been previously owned so some have light storage and handling wear. Condition is noted in the description.

What are your shipping costs?
Typical shipping costs for Canada and the US are listed on our Ordering page. International shipping costs must be determined for each transaction based on size and weight.

Do you combine shipping for orders?
Yes, we combine shipping if a second order is placed within 24 hours of the first.

Do you offer discounts?
We offer a 50% shipping discount on North American pattern orders from $31.00 to $40.00, and free shipping on orders over $40.00. This does not apply to magazines or books.
Orders shipped free are sent by surface mail. Additional charges apply if you prefer airmail shipping.

What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept payment by money order, cheque (cashier or personal) and PayPal.

Do you accept credit card payments?
For security reasons we accept credit card payments only through PayPal.

How do I submit payment through PayPal if I don’t have a PayPal account?
Once you advise us by email that you wish to use PayPal for your payment we will send a PayPal Invoice. You will then receive an email from PayPal advising you how to submit a credit card payment through PayPal. Credit card payments will go through instantly. If you are using a bank account, verification takes 3-5 business days before the payment can be submitted.

Why don't you have a PayPal link on your site?
Our shipping costs vary depending on the size of the order, weight and destination. Shipping costs are calculated after an order is received. We then send an email invoice for your order.
Please advise us by email or on your order form if you require a PayPal invoice.

What type of money order can I send?
USPS International Money Orders (USPS Domestic money orders cannot be cashed in Canada) and money orders from all other available sources in your area.

No, we do not ship COD.

What is your payment policy?
Payment is to be received within 14 days of placing an order.

Can I have an order shipped Express Post or by Courier?
Yes. Extra charges will apply.

Are orders shipped insured?
Insurance is not available through Canada Post for Air Mail letter mail. All parcels are automatically covered by Canada Post for loss or damage up to $100.

What if I don’t receive an email invoice from you?
We are sometimes unable to contact customers after they have placed an order due to spam blocking or failed delivery. If we cannot contact you, we will be unable to process your order.
If you have not received an invoice from us within 24 hours of placing your order, please contact us.

When will my order be shipped?
Orders are shipped on receipt of payment. You will be advised by email of the shipping date.

How often do you ship?
We ship Monday, Wednesday and Friday, except holidays.

How long does shipping take?
Below are the delivery standards given by Canada Post. Actual delivery times may vary depending on the postal service.
To Canada:
Letter mail - 2-4 business days
Regular Parcel - 2-9 business days
Express Post - 1-2 business days
To US:
Letter mail and Light Packets - 4-6 business days
Air Mail Parcels - 4-10 business days
Surface Mail Parcels - 6-12 business days
Express Post - 3-5 business days
International:
Letter mail - 4-7 business days
Air Mail Parcels - 6-10 business days
Surface Mail Parcels - 4-6 weeks

Can I track my order?
Canada Post offers tracking for parcels only.

What is your return policy?
If you are not satisfied with your purchase we will refund the cost of the purchase if notified within 3 days of receipt of the item. Items are to be returned in the same condition as shipped within 14 days.

Do you locate patterns that aren’t on your site?
We cannot offer that service. We will check our unlisted inventory to see if we have a particular item.

How often do you update your website with pattern additions?
We make additions at least once a week but do not have a fixed schedule. The newest additions are added to the "What's New" section.

Do you have a mailing list for new listings?
Yes. If you wish to be advised of new listings please notify us by email, and we will add your address to our email list.

Do you have a printed catalogue?
No, all of our items are listed on our website.

Do you purchase patterns?
We have established sources of supply and do not purchase from individuals.
